Oracle/PLSQL CORR function with syntax and examples
Oracle/PLSQL CORR function returns the coefficient of correlation of multiple pairs of numbers.
Syntax of Oracle/PLSQL function CORR
CORR( n1,m1 ) [ over (analytic_clause_id) ]
where:
- n1 and m1 – numbers to calculate the correlation coefficient.
Note:
At least two lines are required for the CORR function. The CORR function returns a numeric value.
Application:
You can use the CORR function in the following versions of Oracle/PLSQL:
Oracle 12c, Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g, Oracle 9i, Oracle 8i
Let’s consider an example of the CORR function and learn how to use the CORR function in Oracle/PLSQL:
SELECT weight_class_id, CORR(list_price_id, min_price_id) "Correlation_id"
FROM prod_information
GROUP BY weight_class_id
ORDER BY weight_class_id, "Correlation_id."
