Oracle ROUND function (FOR DATE)
The Oracle/PLSQL ROUND function returns a date rounded to a specific unit.
Oracle/PLSQL syntax of the ROUND function (for dates)
ROUND( date_id, [ format_id ] )
Parameters and function arguments
- date_id – date for rounding.
- format_id – the unit of measurement used for rounding. If the format parameter is omitted, ROUND rounds to the nearest day.
The acceptable format parameters are shown below:

The ROUND function (for dates) returns the date.
The ROUND function can be used in the following versions of Oracle/PLSQL
Oracle 12c, Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g, Oracle 9i, Oracle 8i
