SQL literals
SQL literals (strings, integers, decimal numbers and date and time values) are the same as a constant. We will consider several types of literals – string, integer, decimal and date and time literals.
String literals
String literals are always in single quotes (‘). For example.

'This is a literal'.
'XYZ'
'123'
These literal string examples contain strings enclosed in single quotes.
Integer literals
Integer literals can be both positive and negative numbers, but they cannot contain decimal fractions. If you do not specify a sign, a positive number is assumed. Here are some examples of actual integer literals.
